Back On The Net

Finally, I am back on the net.  I just need to get back on track of posting new items.  Just bear with me and be patient. I am trying to keep my blogs updated often. 

If anyone has any ideas on subjects for me to write about just let me know.  I will read all suggestions.

Internet Usage

My Internet has been down for sometime now.  My provider seems to be having problems connecting my service.  Everything was working fine, but then all of a sudden it just stopped working.

My kids are really mad because they cannot play on their gaming system.  They cannot use the Internet at home for homework.  I cannot use the Internet to post on my blogs.  Makes me really mad too.

All I can do is be patient.  Well I can also find another provider. 

Back To School For The Year 2010-2011

WOW!!!  It is almost time for all kids to be back in school.  Eventhough, some have already started, not all have.  It has been time to look around for school supplies.  In this difficult time of our downhill economy, we need to look for the best deal.

I have been buying my children's supplies since about July.  Looking around for sales and I am still not done.  Some of these lists have been getting longer and longer. 

The important thing here is that the students have a great and exciting year.  Have them be present and ready since the first day of school. That would be a great start for this year.

 

Thinking of Gifts For Birthdays

I have such a hard time thinking of gift ideas when it's birthday time.  I tend to think about it later rather than earlier. 

The best thing to do is to think about it a year in advance.  Have it all written out and start looking around for ideas.  When the time comes, you are ready.  CLICK HERE FOR SOME IDEAS.

I will start doing this process this year for next year.  I will be more prepared when birthday time comes around.  I will make a list of people I usually give gifts to and then what I want to give them.  Then I will start looking around for the items and have them ready to give out.

My Experience With A Home Based Business

When I got laid off back in mid 2007, I did not want to go back to a traditional JOB.  I wanted to do something different.  I had been working for about 30 years straight.  I needed a change.  So, I started looking for home business.  I came across millions of them.  There are so many scams out there that it is very hard to choose wisely.

I started with Herbalife in 2008.  At first it seemed like I had found a great opportunity.  As the time was passing and I was getting more involved, I realized that it was not for me.  But, I decided to give it a try for at least a year. 

Well, 9 months later I had to slow down.  I had already charged so much into my credit cards and had received nothing in return.  It was time to almost call it quits.  The problem with this system is that eventhough they tell you it is not MLM somehow it is.  I had a very good size downline, but no one was working the business like I was working it.  My team never invited anyone else to join. So of course, it did not help me or them grow.

The products are great, but the business opportunity is not very realiable unless you have income to keep injecting into it.  If you are doing it on the side and do not rely on it to pay your bills then I believe it could be something that will grow in time.

World Cup Update

Well, the World Cup 2010 that was held in South Africa is now over.  Now the plans are on for the 2014 in Brazil.  The teams will not be decided until about a year from now. 

The US is working to have the World Cup here in the United States for the year 2018 or the year 2022.  Let us all join in and vote at CLICK HERE and let's bring the games back to the US.

The networks broke records in ratings showing the games from South Africa and everyone wants a piece of the pie. 

Books, Books And More Books

I like to read books that are interesting.  I mostly like anything to do with magic. I was never really a book worm, but occasionally I would enjoy a good book.  I am very sentimental , so I tend to cry while I am reading a book that has anything sad or emotional.

Remember when the Harry Potter books came out?  That has been one of my favorite series of books to read.  I just LOVE them. 

What about the Percy Jackson series?  That was also a good series.  These books can be found very easily.  Always keep reading to enrich your mind.  When you read you can travel any where in the world at any time of day.  Go back into the past or even see some of the future.

Many books have been written about everything you can think of.  So, no matter what subject you like believe me there is a book about it.

It is never too late to start reading.  Now pick a book up any book and  start your journey to enrich your mind.  It does not matter what book, it does not even have to be a best seller.  Anything you are interested in reading is good.

Summer Time Fun

World Cup 2014

If you are getting really excited about the World Cup this year , then start saving for the World Cup 2014. It will be in Brazil. You have 4 years to save up and be part of the excitement. My family will be there in Brazil. Once the tickets are available I will be getting them. You can do the same. Like the famous phrase says: The more the merrier.

Why not book as soon as the announcement is made that all the games are set. You can purchase them online and join the thousands of people from around the world that will be going.

Time really flies very quickly, so keep checking for when they make the announcement. I will keep you informed as I find out. I just heard that Soccer is the only sport that unites many countries. To be part of that will be an incredible experience.

World Cup 2010

Have you gotten into the World Cup fever? Man, I have and the excitement from all around the world is just amazing. The World Cup is only every 4 years. The countries have to qualify because only 32 teams can go.

There are 16 groups of 4 teams each. Every team needs to play 3 games within their group. The top 2 teams in each group advance to the next level. If there are teams in a group that have the same amount of points then they use the total number of goals to advance. If the teams tie in the first 3 rounds, they get one point each. If the game is not tied then the winner gets 3 points and the losing team gets none.

This year the World Cup is being played in South Africa and in the year 2014 it will be in Brazil. The US is trying o bring the World Cup here in the United States for the year 2018 or 2022. Let us hope that the US does get the games.
